Nau mai haere mai to Room 27!
We warmly welcome everyone into our classroom community. All of our ākonga have been settling in beautifully, learning the routines, classroom expectations, and understanding when it is time to learn and when it is time to play. They come to school each day with happy smiles, excited and eager to see what the day will bring.

The akonga have already been busy with different learning activities: getting to know about themselves; Te Tiriti o Waitangi, learning Numicon shapes, and reading.

We are looking forward to having a fantastic year with everyone! 🙂
We made a movie for the Pt England News Network. We wanted everyone to know how busy we have been and see some of the cool things we have been up to.. Enjoy our movie.
The Patchwork Kite.
This year our film festival movie celebrates the diversity and friendship we have in Room 27. We hope you enjoy it!
We are very excited to be back at school for term 4. This term we are learning about Music. The team 1 teachers made a movie for our immersion assembly. We hope you like it.
Friday was a fantastic day for our school Cross Country. After lunch everyone lined up in their house colours. Lots of whanau came to see us run. Mr Burt lined us up and then we were off! Running as fast as we could. We were all proud of our efforts.

On Fridays we have lots of fun. We like to do interesting things like art, construction, crafts, and cooking. We celebrate our cultures and build friendships. This is a movie we made for PENN showing some of these things. We hope you like it.
Room 27 had a wonderful week celebrating the culture and language of the Kingdom of Tonga. We have learnt songs, made art, learnt some phrases, some of us wore their traditional dress and we enjoyed a wonderful performance by our Tongan Girls and Boys groups at Friday assembly. We made O’tai to share. Thanks Miss Timmi for all the help.

At PES this week we have been celebrating the language and culture of Myanmar. This was a special week for Aye Myat Thu and Soi Ha. They spent many playtimes practicing a traditional dance which they shared with the school at Friday assembly. Evie Grace supported her friends by also performing. Well done – we were so proud of you.

In Room 27 we have celebrated Cook Islands Language week by creating Ei Katu. We were able to use lots of different colours and shapes of flowers to create our wonderful head dress. Mrs Nua loved them so much she asked us to show them to the whole school at Assembly.
